Foundation Mega Jumbo Post

Farewell Foundation
(Farewell Foundation video above , filmed and edited by Scott Wagoner)

Alright, this is the damn post. Our biggest ever, and last of the biggest ever posts. Ever. 4 videos, 52 photos. All Foundation, most never seen. Of course there is a ton more you can see by searching the archives but why would you. The photos are broken up into sections, sort of, but if you want you can just keep clicking the right side of the photo and it will cycle through all of them. All but the top videos will load in another window.

Pretty sure this is the first or close to the first time I brought out my camera there. December 29th 2005.

After the ledge, manual pad, and titties were built Quiksilver put up the loot and hired Andy Henrie to hire Kevin Graver (green shirt above) from Team Pain to come up and learn us a little about building. I can’t remember exactly but a bunch of people helped, it took a couple days of framing shit out, and one long day for the pour. Seeing the cement truck actually pull up was a pretty damn good feeling. No permission as usual, cash only, and the guy dumped the cement for us.

Party. Party. Party. Go skate day? Foundation. Saint Patricks day? Foundation. Justin turns pro? Foundation. Thanksgiving? Birthdays, Halloween, 4th of July? Foundation. Basically every damn day of the year. Like any no bust spot you get stuck there way too often but shit if we didn’t make the best of it.

Personally I hated shooting up there, but there were those few times that I’m glad I did. Sofa on top of the pocket (look in the shadows) with Grant’s back tail and Dan’s front tail off the hip, and Grant ollie-ing over Dan and Santi.

Wow Zeke. Aytit, don’t tut ta tutney.

And the last parties….one with city officials and one without. Kamal ALWAYS on that grill with Thomas. Zeke always one step ahead of everyone, or below depending how you look at it. That damn front board-slide was nice Zeke, we will all give you that one for sure. Just a bunch of dogs acting like dudes.

Good, now it’s done. I’m over this post. We’ve been talking about it for almost a year now. A new park is being built there right now, and its gonna be damn fun.
